EXPANSIONWIRE— McMenamins scooped up an old school in downtown Bothell and plans to turn it into a hotel, spa, and brewery, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal. The $26 million Anderson School will include a top floor "principal's office" that serves beer, wine, and coffee. The project will open sometime in 2015. [PSBJ]
QUEEN ANNE— Agave Cocina and Taylor Shellfish are inching closer to opening day at Lower Queen Anne's EXPO apartments. Seattle Mag's Julien Perry reports that the new spots could open as early as this month. They'll join Roaring Bowl and Triumph Bar in the building that bumps up against the Seattle Center. SEATTLE— The New York Times wrote about a new study that looks at how outside factors can skew review sites like Yelp. The research was inspired by a trip to rainy Seattle, where as a whole residents wrote worse reviews than cities like Atlanta and sunny San Diego. [NYT]
