TABLE TO FARM— Another Seattle-based restaurant is taking over farmland. "Sustainable sandwich shop" Homegrown is planting on its own certified organic land in Woodinville. Produce from Sprouting Farm will find itself in the kitchen of Homegrown's Fremont, Capitol Hill, downtown, Queen Anne, and South Lake Union locations come summer. [EaterWire]
STUNTS—Apparently, the advertisement depicting Jesus smoking pot to promote Easter burger specials turned a profit for local chain Lunchbox Laboratory. Owner John Schmidt tells KIRO that he's seen about a 10-percent spike in sales since running the contentious two-for-one ad. [-EN-]
PIONEER SQUARE— Think Pioneer Square is a haven of Dominican sandwiches, apothecary-style bars, and Thai noodles that's still relatively undiscovered compared to Capitol Hill and Ballard? The neighborhood is popular enough to have its own food tour, where participants can eat at "the reinvented Pioneer Square with a personal guide" from Taste Seattle. It includes eight "unique tasting stops, including a wine, German beer and premium saké tasting." [EaterWire]
