The wait is over: Taylor Shellfish Oyster Bar opens this very day in Lower Queen Anne. The bright and shiny sibling of Taylor's three-year-old Melrose Market oyster bar seats 50, with plans to nearly double its capacity this summer when tables will spill onto an outdoor patio.
The (oyster) farm-to-table spot serves more ultra fresh shellfish than you can handle, including Olympia, Shigoku, and Totten Inlet oysters and geoduck sashimi. There's also cooked, chilled, and cracked Dungeness crab and prawn cocktails for the bivalve adverse.
Taylor Shellfish keeps up the growth spurt this summer: A Pioneer Square oyster bar location is scheduled to launch by the first of July.
