Plywood Report

Mike Easton teased some photos of the very in-progress interior of Pizzeria Gabbiano. The first day of construction for Easton's much anticipated Pioneer Square pie shop included uncovering the more than 130-year-old building's original fir floors. During the process, the Il Corvo chef and crew discovered newspapers from the 40s and 50s and old buttons left behind by a former tenant. The restaurant is slated to launch next month, although opening day remains in flux. [Pizzeria Gabbiano]
