Hillman City's Big Chickie; An 80s Prom at Populuxe

SUMMER TRACKING— Hillman City is the future home of Big Chickie, reports Nosh Pit. The restaurant's menu centers around 24-hour marinated pollo a la brasa—Peruvian chicken roasted on charcoal—plus sides including kale slaw and fries. Doors will open on the corner of Rainier and Findley sometime this summer. [Nosh Pit]

BALLARD— Populuxe Brewing is throwing an "Awesome 80s Prom" on May 30th from 6-9 p.m. Expect beer, cuban sandwiches from Don Lucho's, a DJ spinning 80s music, and 80s movies playing in the background. Plus, photo stations and the crowning of a prom king and queen.

ARBITRARY LISTICLES—OpenTable has unleashed its 2014 list of the "Top 100 Brunch Restaurants in America" in time for Mother's Day. Mom-approved Salty's on Alki Beach in West Seattle, Tilikum Place Cafe in Belltown, and The Dining Room at Salish Lodge & Spa in Snoqualmie place for Washington State. The list is a compilation of the top-rated restaurants around the U.S. from more than 5 million diner-submitted OpenTable reviews. [EaterWire]
