The Walrus and the Carpenter and Barnacle reopen at 4 p.m. today. Both Ballard establishments were closed this weekend while staff mourned the loss of sous chef Cody Spafford. 26-year-old Spafford was fatally shot by a Seattle detective after allegedly robbing a bank in Madison Park last Thursday with a toy gun. This week, all Barnacle and The Walrus and the Carpenter proceeds will be donated to Recovery Cafe in Spafford's name. [Facebook]
