CAPITOL HILL— Corretto officially opens in the former Panevino space tomorrow. The Italian spot from Travis Rosenthal (Tango, Rumba) will serve craft coffee during the day and homemade pasta and cocktails in the evening. An all-night happy hour is planned for Mondays, and half price bottles of wine will be up for grabs every Wednesday night. [EaterWire]
WEST SEATTLE— The more than 60-year-old space that has housed the Admiral Benbow Inn and other shorter-lived spots (for what it's worth, Mudhoney's "Suck You Dry" video was shot on the premises) has new owners, reports Seattle Met's Allecia Vermillion. Ian and Allison Hill are planning to revamp the Admiral Benbow, which in its current form "looks like a prototype from Walt Disney's earliest theme park planning session (the kind of session that happens after a few bourbons)." [Nosh Pit]
VITAL UPDATE— Remember that mysterious video of Willows Inn chef Blaine Wetzel petting a log? Turns out it was part of a food performance dinner series in honor of NYC chef Wylie Dufresne. Last night, Wetzel joined almost 30 other chefs from around the world at Dufresne's restaurant wd~50 on the Lower East Side. Eater National has details. [-EN-]
