Eater Scenes: Bookstore Bar & Cafe, Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Welcome back to Eater Scenes, where Eater photographers visit some of the city's restaurants and bars to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Here now, Suzi Pratt at Bookstore Bar & Cafe.

A small collection of hardbacks are for sale for $5 each, but Bookstore Bar & Cafe's main attraction is its spirits library: More than 50 bourbons and whiskies and 70 bottles of single-malt Scotch line the shelves.

The First Ave. spot expanded its dining room and refreshed its menu earlier this year; Eater photographer Suzi Pratt stopped in during happy hour on a recent Thursday and found a mix of hotel guests and after-work drinkers. Here's a look inside the watering hole and restaurant at 6 p.m.
