The glowing neon "fish" sign makes it official: Chippy's Fish & Drink is now serving Dungeness crab rolls and fried oyster sandwiches on Ballard Ave. The cozy space in the The Kolstrand Building bumps up against Stowell's Staple & Fancy, and Renee Erickson's The Walrus and the Carpenter and Barnacle are located in the back.

18 diners can fit into the 600-square-foot spot with a menu that includes five kinds of fish and chips, plus shrimp cocktails, Crab Louie, and chowder. Chippy's is the tenth restaurant on Stowell's current roster.

Hours are 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on the weekend.
