BELLTOWN—Tom Douglas' Hot Stove Society Cooking School just announced its first classes. Hot Stove launches Friday, July 11 at Hotel Ändra, where Tom Douglas' business partner Eric Tanaka will kick things off with a session, "exploring the fifth taste, umami, through many cultures." GREEN LAKE—Bauhaus Coffee is inching closer to opening its third cafe, this time in the former Cake Envy space in Green Lake. According to the Seattle Greenlaker, the coffee bar will begin serving espresso, beer, and wine in mid-June. [SG]
DOWNTOWN—No kidding, on June 7 at 11 a.m. the Seafair Pirates will make an in-store appearance at KuKuRuZa's Pike St. store to introduce a new flavor called "Pirate's Treasure."
