Altstadt Ownership Shuffle; Downtown Restaurant Changes

New, 1 comment

PIONEER SQUARE—Brendan McGill is no longer an owner of Altstadt. Nosh Pit reports that the Pioneer Square bier hall is now wholly owned by founding partners Lex Petras and Ward Van Allen. What will change? Some menu items conceived by McGill will no longer be served. Plus, new brunch and late-night menus are in the works. [Seattle Met]

DOWNTOWN— RN74 is donating proceeds from all Negronis sold from June 2-8 to culinary job training program FareStart. The offer includes traditional Negronis and "Buy the Barrel," a fancy version. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN—A couple of years ago McCormick & Schmick's, the chain that started in Portland and had four outposts in Seattle, were taken over by Tillman Fertitta, the Texas guy who owns Landry's and its subsidiary Bubba Gump. One of Fertitta's lamer moves was to close the downtown McCormick's earlier this year. But now there's (drumroll) good news: The location at 1103 First Ave. is being taken over by Consolidated Restaurants, parent company of Elliott's Oyster House and Metropolitan Grill. No word yet on the concept or the name. [EaterWire]
