Louie's Cuisine of China is closing at the end of the month. First hint? A Craigslist post. Next? A tip from Eater reader Don, further confirmed by a huge banner announcing the news that's pinned to the outside of the building.
Founded by Charlie Louie, "renown as a gambler and horse player," the Ballard Chinese spot has been serving moo shu pork and egg rolls since the 70s. Staff tell Eater that the freestanding restaurant near Market St. has been sold. Louie's closes its doors for good on June 29.
