WEST SEATTLE— Top Pot is opening a beachfront location on Alki Ave., reports West Seattle Blog. Expect a fall opening. The Seattle-based doughnut chain launched a downtown Seattle location in April and a Dallas outpost in May. [WSB]
DOWNTOWN—Sazerac's "Shuck Off" is scheduled for this Thursday. That's when guest shuckers, including local TV personalities and Seattle Weekly's Nicole Sprinkle will try to shuck the most oysters for charity in a fixed amount of time. $30 tickets are still up for grabs. [EaterWire]
PATIO DINING— Zagat name-checks Seattle's six best beer gardens, including Chuck's in the C.D. and Henry's Tavern across from Safeco (bocce!) Von Trapp's also gets a nod, even though at times it can, "feel like you've stumbled into a frat party." [Zagat]
