Handlebar Coffee Roasters Sends a Cease and Desist Letter to Handlebar Coffee

Santa Barbara-based Handlebar Coffee Roasters sent a cease and desist letter to Seattle bike coffee cart Handlebar Coffee, reports The Stranger. Owners Alex Johnstone and David Rothstein received the notice to change their name last Friday; Rothstein tells Eater they're obliging. The business partners are finalizing a new name and will announce it soon.

Johnstone and Rothstein launched their pair of "human powered" coffee carts last month, serving pour-over, aeropress, and French press coffee from Conduit, Kuma, and Velton's.
