Hey, Bellevue carnivores: In a few weeks you'll be able to order a burger with a patty that is 50 percent bacon. Local Burger, a new restaurant from the same ownership group as Seattle's Local 360, is moving into the former Salute location on Main St.
Managing Partner Josh Groff says the space suffered from a fire and sat vacant for a couple of years before the Local Burger crew tore it down to the studs. Taking rustic-meets-industrial design cues from its Belltown sibling, Local Burger will seat about 64 with room for a few more tables out front. An 8 person bar with 24 taps was built from scratch.
Local 360's grindhouse burger stars front and center on the menu, plus 10 or 11 other options, including that half-bacon, half-beef artery clogger, banh mi, pork, and veggie options. Plus, Groff says he's carrying over some of the appetizers, salads, and desserts from Local 360.
Local Burger is planning a soft opening for the end of the month, with regular lunch and dinner hours starting up in early July.
