Look Inside Mioposto, Now Open Near University Village

Mioposto's new pizzeria opened yesterday down the street from Pair and Frank's Oyster House in Bryant, a micro-neighborhood close to the University District and Ravenna. The sunny corner spot in the former Mazi location has been totally gutted and redesigned, with owner Jeremy Hardy (Coastal Kitchen) installing a brick oven made in Bellingham and fixtures fabricated in Napa from metal bands that once held wine barrels together. The space seats 60 and includes a grab-and-go counter serving pastries and Vita coffee.

In the mornings Hardy is also offering breakfast sandwiches and pizzas, including one with egg, breadcrumbs, and panchetta. The lunch and dinner menu look a lot like what you'll find at Mioposto's original Mt. Baker outpost, with Neapolitan-style pies baked at 1,100 degrees for less than a minute.
