Morsel's new 15th Ave. location in the former Blue Dog Kitchen space is now open, reports My Ballard. More good news: There's a drive-through window, making it possible to order fresh biscuits with sweet and savory toppings (tomato jam, fig honey, apple butter) without leaving your car (or bike.)
In addition to biscuits, the menu features some Cronut-esque combos, including "biscakes" and "cinnabiscuits." To wash it down there's coffee from Kuma, Velton's, and Vashon Coffee, plus house-made honey lavender lemon soda. Beer and wine may make their debut in the coming months.
It's been a busy year for owners Domingo Ramos and Kekoa Chin-Hidano. The guys took over Nook last spring, opening Morsel's original U-District outpost before expanding to Ballard.
Morsel Ballard's hours are for 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, with food service starting at 9 a.m.
