Taylor Shellfish (Almost) Open in Pioneer Square

Just three months after launching its Queen Anne location, Taylor Shellfish will unlock the doors to its new Pioneer Square oyster bar next week. The space in a historic building a stone's throw from Rain Shadow Meats Squared won't have a retail component like its Capitol Hill sibling but will be all about the bivalves.

Taylor president Jeff Pearson told Eater earlier this year that in addition to oysters delivered each day "from the farm to the table" the new spot will serve wine, booze, chowder and ultra-fresh mussels, clams, and geoduck.

Taylor's Pioneer Square oyster bar officially opens to the public this Tuesday, July 22.
