S'Mores Days at Theo; LloydMartin's Charlie Trotter-Inspired Meal

FREMONT— Theo's annual S'mores Days are happening from noon to 6 p.m. tomorrow and Thursday at the Phinney Ave. chocolate factory; The benefit for local non-profit Food Lifeline features homemade graham crackers with chocolate made on-site, plus peanut butter cup s'mores. [EaterWire]

QUEEN ANNE—LloydMartin chef/owner Sam Crannell is from Chicago. So is Charlie Trotter. Crannell is paying tribute to the chef with a new $40 entree: King salmon with lobster potatoes and veal gloss. This Saturday, the full price of the dish will be donated to The Trotter Project, a charity that "is creating a series of charitable initiatives and programs centered around the culinary arts, service, education and excellence." DOWNTOWN— To mark its 15th anniversary Gordon Biersch is serving $0.98 pints and filling $4 growlers from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19. The 9,000-square-foot restaurant recently was recently renovated and includes a new bar for private events. [EaterWire]
