Does Ballard have room for any more burgers? 8oz. Burger & Co. is wagering yes. Joining Li'l Woody's, Red Mill, Scooter's, Five Guys, King's, and the just-opened Giddy Up Burgers & Greens, 8oz. officially joins the neighborhood today in the former Hamburger Harry's space at 2401 NW Market St.
The "rustic burger joint" (formerly part of the 8oz. Burger Bar chain) cooks grass-fed patties from local cows just like its excellent sibling on Capitol Hill. But 8oz.'s Ballard shop includes some new menu items, like a PB & J Burger with tomato jam, bacon, cinnamon spiced peanut butter, and fontina served on a pretzel bun. Plus, a bar stocked with a dozen beers on tap, 50 whiskies, and cocktails. Doors swing open for happy hour at 4 p.m. today.
