Cormac Mahoney has left the kitchen at Canterbury Ale House. In fact, the former Madison Park Conservatory chef/owner tells Eater he quietly departed from The Canterbury a month ago, claiming that the post was not a good fit. "I helped them get open and I wish them great success," Mahoney says. As for what's next? The 2012 Food and Wine Best New Chef says he's "just being me" and is in-between projects.
James Snyder (Sam's Tavern) and Mike Meckling (Neumos) debuted the totally revamped Capitol Hill watering hole in June. Eater has reached out to Meckling and Snyder for comment; check back for any updates and details.
