Burger Eaters Rejoice: Zippy's Is Coming to Georgetown

After six years, the beloved White Center burger spot Zippy's is expanding to Georgetown. The big news broke via Facebook a few hours ago:

The new outpost, reports West Seattle Blog, is moving into the former American Pie Bakery and Cafe space at 5633 Airport Way South. The pie shop shuttered August 22.

Staff tell Eater that the menu will be identical to Zippy's White Center location, which includes classic Zip burgers with special sauce, veggie and chicken burgers, sweet potato fries, and tater tots.

Work on the new Zippy's location will begin on Labor Day. The timing couldn't be much better: Georgetown's popular Katsu Burger shuttered earlier this month leaving a burger and fry void in the neighborhood. The restaurant will join new arrivals Hitchcock Deli and Flying Squirrel Pizza Company.
