Rhein Haus, the bier hall formerly known as Von Trapp's, is expanding to Denver. Deming Maclise and James Weimann (Bastille, Stoneburner, Poquitos, Macleods) are opening a second location of the perpetually packed bar in the city's LoDo neighborhood next spring. Maclise tells Eater Denver why his team is launching a second Rhein Haus in Colorado:
One of our partners is from there and one of our operating partners had lived in Denver and they love it. James and I have been to Denver many times and always loved it. It feels like Seattle but more laid back."
Rhein Haus will carry over the same beer, brats, and bocce formula to its new, two-story, 6,000-square-foot Denver outpost, which will open in the Spring of 2015.
