Judkins St. Cafe on the Move; A Fire Relief Benefit for Celtic Swell's Chef

THE SHUTTER— The building that houses Judkins St. Cafe has been sold to a developer. Seattle Weekly reports that the sale will be finalized by the middle of the month; the cafe's owners hope to "find the right solution for our next chapter" and move to a new location. [SW]

WEST SEATTLE— Celtic Swell Irish Pub chef Ron Ackerson lost his house in a fire; his family of 15 is now homeless. The Alki watering hole is hosting a relief benefit Friday to help the Ackerson family rent a home and replace items destroyed by the fire. The event starts at 9 p.m. [EaterWire]
