Big Chickie's pollo a la brasa, the Peruvian charcoal roasted chicken, sold out fast last night when the restaurant officially opened in Hillman City. But it's a new day, and the just-launched chicken shack in a revamped service station across from Tin Umbrella coffee roasters will start filling orders of half chicken with green sauce, potato gratin, and "monster" kale slaw at 5 p.m. today.
Big Chickie is open Monday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m., or until its neon "sold out" sign lights up.
