Biscuit Box Gets Rolling; Renee Erickson Author Lunch at The London Plane

Your daily dose of vital food news.

MEALS ON WHEELS— New food truck Biscuit Box is officially open for business. The truck is brought to you by Danielle Custer, the former director at Taste and owner of the now-closed Monte Cristo grilled cheese food truck. Custer's creations involve "flaky and buttery biscuits smothered in local flavor," with fixings like local, urban honey, Beecher's cheese, locally-foraged mushrooms, and humanely-raised meat. PIONEER SQUARE— The London Plane and Book Larder are partnering for an author lunch with Renee Erickson to celebrate the release of her first cookbook, A Boat, A Whale & A Walrus. The three-course lunch takes place on October 8 at 11 a.m. and includes wine and a signed copy of the book. Chef Emily Crawford Dann's menu for the event will be inspired by the cookbook.
