Nancy Leson earned accolades at last weekend's Association of Food Journalists conference in Memphis. The former Seattle Times food writer scored two AFJ 2014 Awards: She received second place for Best Food Column and tied for second place for Best Newspaper Food Feature (200,000-350,000 circulation) for her article "Seattle's bread bakers blend science and art for those perfect loaves."
Earlier this year, Leson left her full-time post at the paper after 15 years and remains a contributor; four months after her departure a replacement has yet to be announced.
