After two years, Bean Sprouts, the kid-themed cafe inside of the Seattle Center Armory, has shuttered. Owner Kelly Parthen says the business is shifting its focus to operate inside of kid-centric spots like zoos, theme parks, and children's museums and is in discussion with "family destinations" in the Seattle-area about the possibility of launching another cafe.
The Bay Area-based chain for "pint-sized foodies" continues to operate cafes in Sausalito and Oakland and is opening L.A. and Orange County outposts in the coming months.
