Fran's Chocolates officially opens its new Georgetown chocolate drinking counter and retail store today, which happens to be owner Fran Bigelow's birthday. After years on Capitol Hill, the chocolatier moved its headquarters to the Wonka-esque old Rainier Brewery location: The fully gutted and restored 31,500-square-foot space includes a production viewing area for watching Oolong tea truffles, gold bars, and gray salt caramels as they're made.

Check out photos of the chocolate company's new retail and production spaces via The Seattle Times.

Fran's Chocolates, 5900 Airport Way S., Georgetown, website, (206) 508-4535, M-SAT 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
