Old School Frozen Custard filled the last waffle cone at its Fremont location yesterday. A staff member tells Eater that business was simply too slow to keep the doors open. The public mourning has begun on Facebook, where Old School confirmed the news on Sunday:

Very sad to announce that today will be the last day for retail sales at our Fremont location. We want to thank those people who frequented our store in Fremont and we hope you will still come and visit us at our Capitol Hill location.

Old School Closing

Old School closed an outpost in Bonney Lake in 2012 and opened in Fremont the same year.
