The Swedish Club hosted a special dinner last May just to get the attention of NYC-based chef Marcus Samuelsson. They did good: the Chopped star and The Taste judge will be at the cultural center on Halloween. For $75 a person, guests can meet the Swedish-raised chef, eat canapés including mini fish cakes, Swedish meatballs, and marble potatoes with pickled beets, and take home a signed copy of Marcus Off Duty: The Recipes I Cook at Home. The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m.; costumes are optional but organizer Don Rauf says the Aquavit will be flowing.
