After almost four decades of serving cheese slices and chimichangas under the same roof, longtime Mexican-slash-Italian restaurant Bruno's has shuttered downtown. A member of Eater's 2012 crowd-sourced map of Seattle's worst pizza, the restaurant closed on August 30. A sign posted on the door claims that owner Bruno Mazzarella has retired:

Bruno's is the latest member of a recent, ever-growing roster of longtime Seattle restaurants to shutter (or close soon,) including Catfish Corner, Brad's Swingside Cafe, Hurricane Cafe, Erotic Bakery, Louie's Cuisine of China, and Piecora's.
