CAPITOL HILL— Kaisho rolls out brunch this weekend. Featuring sesame caramel monkey bread, bacon and egg steam buns, smoked salmon breakfast tacos, and Thai-style fried chicken and waffles, the "boozy dim sum brunch" menu runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. [EaterWire]
FREMONT—Seattle-based outdoor accoutrement company MiiR is launching a retail space at the new Stone34 building this fall, and it will include a multi-roaster coffee shop, craft beer counter, and growler filling station. Beer from local breweries including Georgetown and Stoup will be on tap; the coffee program features beans from local roasters (Kuma) and others from around the West Coast, including Portland's Heart and Verve in Santa Cruz.
