Starbucks will open its "one of a kind" Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room on Capitol Hill in December. Chairman/CEO Howard Schultz says the concept, "will transform the future of specialty coffee." The 15,000-square-foot roastery/cafe is moving into the old Volvo dealership and Utrecht art supply location at Melrose and Pike and will share space with a new outpost of T-Doug's pizzeria Serious Pie.
