Heads up, fans of: Josh Henderson's restaurants, his design director Matthew Parker's quirky aesthetic (file under Westward, Hollywood Tavern,) sports, and/or Pioneer Square: The time has come to reveal photos of Quality Athletics, Henderson's soon-to-open sports bar.
With a wall of lockers, a vintagey trophy collection, outdoor fire pits, and a slushy/sno-cone machine, the 3,500-square-foot restaurant is just ironic enough to engage hipsters while welcoming red-blooded Seahawks fans. The menu from chef Seth Richardson is equal parts accessible and adventurous, including pinwheel sandwiches stuffed with house-made brats, duck wings with pickled pomegranate seeds, and grilled cheese with shishito peppers and hazelnut pesto. Quality Athletics officially opens on Friday in the Stadium Place building on Occidental and King.
