12th Man Mint Ice Cream at Parfait; Maria Hines' Cocktail and Wine Classes

Today's dose of vital food news.

Parfait

BALLARD Parfait has created a 12th Man Mint ice cream, a green-tinted peppermint ice cream, with blue-tinted white chocolate chips; the colors are all-natural, plant-based creations. The ice cream shop is also running a special on a "Superbowl Sundae" kit, which includes a pint of 12th Man Mint, a pint of Dark Chocolate ice cream, a jar of organic hot fudge sauce, a bag of house made fudge brownie bits, and a jar of handmade Seahawks sprinkles. FREMONT/BALLARD Maria Hines restaurants Golden Beetle and Agrodolce are hosting a series of beverage seminars from January through March. Agrodolce's sommelier Alena Harbin is holding wine seminars, and Jaime Kitchens, Golden Beetle's lead bartender, and Copperworks Distilling are leading cocktail classes at Golden Beetle. Visit the restaurants' websites for the full schedule and sign up info. [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWN The Bookstore Bar & Cafe is offering drink specials for Sunday's Seahawks game. Along with an all-day happy hour on Sunday, the bar will sell a Hawks Hottie with butter, brown sugar, spices, dark rum, and hot water topped with Ancho Reyes whipped cream, and a cocktail called The Throat Lozenge — if you're sore from screaming — with Ballantine's, lemon juice, Chartreuse, and honey syrup.
