When an employee at a restaurant near 85th and Greenwood in North Seattle started shouting and wielding a pot of tea on Sunday evening, staff phoned police. The man, reports SPD Blotter, stumbled into a table and collapsed. When officers arrived and asked the man if he needed medical treatment, he "responded by swinging and kicking at police, missing them by a distance of several feet." He then attempted to bite the officers. The culprit, according to medics? Low blood sugar.
The man calmed down after receiving an IV, and, looking confused, was unable to remember the incident. He was served, "a bowl of noodles to further aid his return to equilibrium" as officials left the scene.
