A former antique-slash-trinket shop on California and Walker will soon be the home of Jeremy Hardy's next Mioposto. Hardy expanded his wood-fired pizza concept from Mt. Baker to Bryant last year, and he tells Eater that the pie shop's third outpost in West Seattle may not be the last.
Hardy has been looking for a space in West Seattle for some time. After considering another location in the neighborhood he fell for the single-story 1920s brick building, calling it "super sweet." The space is small—so small that Hardy is building on a walk-in and storage outside. Expect a compact bar and windows that open to a patio with outdoor tables.
Hardy is planning to start with dinner only, then open up for lunch depending on interest. Target opening is this April.
Will there be more Mioposto locations popping up around town? "As far as growth beyond the answer is yeah," Hardy, who also owns Capitol Hill's Coastal Kitchen, says. "I'm living the dream. It's really cool. I'm doing exactly what I want to do and we're having a lot of fun."
