BALLARD Ethan Stowell Restaurants has revamped a basement space in the Kolstrand Building in Ballard to be used as an event space and wine storage facility. It's called ESR Cellar, and it offers a full-service storage facility with a range of locker sizes for rent. Members receive perks like coupons waiving corkage fees at Ethan Stowell restaurants. The space is also available to rent for events, with full plated dinners or passed appetizers prepared by the Staple & Fancy kitchen upstairs. [EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILL Capitol Cider is showing the Seahawks' playoff game on Saturday on three televisions (including a 92-inch screen) in the downstairs bar. BALLARD Chef Renee Erickson is hosting acclaimed Boston Chef Jeremy Sewall of Row 34, Island Creek Oyster Bar, and Lineage restaurants to The Walrus and the Carpenter on January 15.
