Your Halloween costume just got easier. Vegan favorite Mighty-O Donuts is already known for its superhero-clad grand openings, but for its third store coming on Capitol Hill next weekend, the planning couldn't have been better. In the former High 5 Pie space at 12th and Madison, this newest Mighty-O will debut on Halloween itself, and invites fans to celebrate all weekend by coming (per usual) dressed as superheroes. From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on both October 31 and November 1, costumed visitors will be entered in a drawing to win a donut a day for year. All visitors will be offered free mini-donuts.
Founder Ryan Kellner's Mighty-O Donuts debuted in Green Lake in 2003, then expanded to Ballard just this summer. The new Capitol Hill branch is approximately 2,000 square feet and has 30 seats. For the first month open, this outpost will be open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until noon, and on weekends from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Eventually the store plans to stay open until 6 p.m., likely starting in early December. Watch Mighty-O's Facebook page for the latest updates.
