The time has come, pizza lovers: Capitol Hill's beloved Big Mario's will open its second outpost in lower Queen Anne (815 5th Ave. N) next Friday, November 6. The popular pizza destination extends the empire of David Meinert, Jason Lajeunesse (behind Ernest Loves Agnes, Lost Lake Cafe, The Comet Tavern, and more) and business partner Mike McConnell past the Hill, and more Big Mario's branches may follow in other Seattle neighborhoods, according to Lajeunesse.
The menu will be the same as on Capitol Hill (ooh, with some new additions coming soon), and the first 100 customers on opening day will receive a free slice. Doors open in Queen Anne at 11 a.m., and regular hours will be 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week. Delivery will cover the area spanning Denny to 99 to the waterfront. Watch Big Mario's Facebook page and of course right here for further updates.
