Yesterday, Eater reported that Altura just purchased the largest truffle to land in the U.S. this year (1.25 pounds) and was serving it in a special truffle tasting menu last night. With a truffle of that size, supply is plenty, so owners Nathan and Rebecca Lockwood are continuing the menu through the weekend. Here is a slightly tweaked version they just sent over:
The price remains $237 per person, and a Northern Italian wine pairing is still available for an additional $123. The Lockwoods plan to offer the menu through Saturday night, and possibly beyond if they still have product.
Altura's hours, again, are 5:30 to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, and 5:00 to 10:00 pm, Friday and Saturday. Reservations are not required for the truffle tasting menu (or the regular menu), but available on Open Table if you wish.
