Hosts of dinners through services like EatWith and Meal Sharing often lack the proper licenses and permits, officials say. [Seattle Times]

BEER HERE — Derschang Group Beverage Director Myles Burroughs and Rhein Haus Bar Manager Ryan Minch have partnered on a brewing project called Perfect Strangers, "a collaborative brewing project was conceptualized in 2014 with the mission of bringing rare and creative beers to market" that are "individually tailored to local bars and restaurants." Their inaugural beer, an IPA finished with organic Washington-grown Granny Smith apples was brewed in a partnership with Everybody's Brewing in White Salmon. The beer is available now at Rhein Haus, Linda’s Tavern, Smith, and Tallulah’s while supplies last. [EaterWire]

CELEBRITY SIGHTINGS — This past Saturday, Neil Young dined at Pizzeria 22. Owner Cary Kemp worked for Young for a decade as tour manager, so that may have had something to do with the visit. [West Seattle Blog]
