Oh, happy day: All three of Renee Erickson's much-anticipated Capitol Hill projects are now open. Last week, we announced that her Bar Melusine and Bateau had opened, with General Porpoise still pending. Now, the coffee and doughnuts shop is ready for public consumption.

The cafe is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., serving coffee from four roasters: De Lâ Paz from San Francisco, Dapper & Wise and Heart from Portland, and Toby's Estate from Brooklyn. Pastry chef Clare Gordon is whipping up the fried dough; four to six doughnut flavors will be offered daily. Available now are vanilla bean custard, chocolate marshmallow, peanut butter and grape jelly, apple jam, and lemon curd. There's also sparkling wine available if you want to get fancy.
