Marination has announced that they’ll be coming to South Lake Union with their third brick and mortar from the brand. The announcement showed up on their Facebook page on Thursday morning, with a digitally created picture of the future space, and not much information to go with it.

The post read, "We are so excited to finally let you all know that we are headed for South Lake Union! We can’t talk too much about it right now, but you can expect a lot more aloha in Amazon’s neck of the woods very soon. #StayTuned."

A Marination source tells Eater that the new spot will be called, simply, Marination and will be located in the new Amazon building in SLU on the corner of 6th and Virginia. They’re planning to open in mid-December with an expanded list of offerings from the other restaurants.

The menu will be focused mainly on tortas and salads with Marination classics that will roll through daily. The design will be "modern aloha," with a new logo and light, airy window-wrapped framing and a counter service ordering format. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.

The Hawaiian-Korean food peddlers came to fame originally with their Big Blue truck selling Spam sliders, musubi, kimchi rice bowls, tacos and more. The success led them to open Marination Station on Capitol Hill and Marination Ma Kai on Alki Beach, in West Seattle. The group also owns Super Six in Columbia City, with some similar cuisine offerings.
