Nue Launching Brunch; Piatti Reopens After Redesign

CAPITOL HILL — International street food restaurant Nue is launching brunch starting the weekend of November 21. Available Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the opening menu includes Dutch pancakes, Israeli Shakshuka, the popular South African bunny chow, and more. U DISTRICT After closing in April for a redesign and extensive renovation, Piatti has reopened. Guests can expect touches like a new entry way, new private dining room for up to 50, a zinc bartop, new chairs and tables, updated flooring and fabrics, new windows and doors, and new light fixtures. CAPITOL HILL — Ballet Restaurant on Capitol Hill has a new owner, reports CHS. Freddy Rivas of Rancho Bravo has purchased the Vietnamese restaurant with plans to make only minor changes by adding late night hours. More extensive changes, including a new menu or name, would happen later. [CHS]
