The beloved Columbia City butcher shop Bob's Quality Meats suffered a fire in July that caused $160,000 in damage to the building and $150,000 in damage to the building's contents. There were no injuries in the fire caused by a compressor malfunction, but the butcher shop has been closed since.
The shop posted the announcement on social media yesterday that it had passed its health inspection and plans to open today at 9 a.m. The business has operated in Columbia City since 1981.
