Pioneer Square's upscale-ish Korean spot Girin has been quietly serving lunch for about a month now. Though the menu is smaller than the one offered for dinner, it does feature a little bit of everything. The headliner appears to be a $15 lunch set consisting of ssam, banchan, rice and soup with your choice of protein. The classic Korean rice bowl dolsot bibimbap is served in a hot stone pot, topped with bok choy, bean sprouts, cucumber kimchi, poached egg and beef tongue bulgogi or spicy octopus. And don't expect a high tab: dishes range from $7 to $15. Visit for lunch, Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
