Ethan Stowell’s recently opened gastropub on Ballard Avenue dives into not just one, but two, of Seattle’s most popular meal times: brunch and happy hour as of last week.
Adding its new menu to the legion of brunch offerings across the city, Bramling Cross will serve the late morning meal on both Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Expect twists on brunch champions such as grilled hangar steak and eggs, but made with marrow butter, and a breakfast hash of pork cheek, kale, and chanterelle mushrooms. And it’s not all heavy fare: there’s also broiled grapefruit with creme fraiche and mint, as well as a cheddar biscuit with Puyallup wildflower honey on menu. Plus, it might not be brunch without pitchers of mimosas on-hand, here for $25.
