Top Chef California has arrived, and Seattle's own Jason Stratton fared well in the first episode.
The Mamnoon GM and Executive Chef stepped up right away as one of nine chefs moving on to a second round in the two-part Quick Fire challenge for immunity. Ultimately, his team didn't win the coveted immunity. In the Elimination Challenge, the judges liked Stratton's poached heirloom chicken with salsa Apicius. He wasn't picked to win the challenge, but he is safe from elimination at this point.
The second half of the two-part premiere airs tonight on Bravo. Starting next week, the show will be in its normal time slot of 10 p.m. on Thursdays.
